  • Mayor & Trustees | Waddington Village

    Mayor & Trustees Mayor of Waddington ​ The Mayor is the head of the Village Government and presides over all meetings of the Village Board. They are a voting member of the Village Board and represent the Village at all yearly civic events. The Mayor’s duties are to provide leadership, promote teamwork among Board and coordinate Board activities. ​ Board of Trustees ​ The legislative body of a village, the board of trustees, comprises the mayor and four trustees. The board may increase or decrease the number of trustees, subject to a mandatory referendum. The general powers of the board of trustees are outlined in Village Law 4-412, which provides that: "In addition to any powers conferred upon villages, the board of trustees shall have management of the village property and finances, may take all measures and do all acts, by local law, not inconsistent with the provisions of the constitution, and not inconsistent with a general law except as authorized by the municipal home rule law, which shall be deemed expedient or desirable for the good government of the village, it's management and business, the protection of its property, the safety, health, comfort, and general welfare of its inhabitants, the security of their property, the preservation of peace and good order, the suppression of vice, the benefit of trade, and the preservation and protection of public works. The Board of Trustees may create or abolish by resolution offices, boards, agencies, and commissions and delegate to said offices, boards, agencies, and commissions so much of its powers, duties, and functions as it shall deem necessary for effectuating or administering the board of trustees duties and functions. Meetings The Village Board meets on the 1st Monday of each month at 6 PM in the Waddington Municipal Building. If there is a holiday on Monday, the Board Meeting will occur the following day, Tuesday. Minutes & Agendas are available online. The public is welcome to attend all meetings. Mike and his family live on Brookview Dr. in the village. A native of East Aurora, NY, he has deep roots in Waddington as both his mother, father, and wife are Waddington natives. Mike graduated from St. Bonaventure University in 1991 with a Bachelors degree in English and Potsdam State College in 2000 with a Masters Degree in the teaching of English. Mike taught middle school and high school English in both Virginia and New York including 13 years with Madrid Waddington Central School. Mike is currently a Labor Relations Specialist with the New York State United Teachers. Mike considers Waddington to be the crown jewel of the St. Lawrence River and looks forward to working with the entire community to preserve and improve life in Waddington for everyone.   • Dock Requests| Village of Waddington | Transient Docking

    Waddington Dock Reservations Please note that we will not be accepting reservations until April 1st 2024! Please use the form below to reserve a transient dock in Waddington Village. Reservations must be made three business days before the arrival date. Transient docks may be used without reservation if no reserved sign is on the slip. More info here . Please pay at the village office. Dock masters will issue tickets. ​ You will receive an email with your reservation number and slip number. You will be able to check the reservation here. Arrival time is 1 pm, and Departure time is 12pm, in case we have overlapping reservations. The transient docks are numbered 43 to 56. We also have the permanent dock and the horizontal dock. A reserved sign will be placed on your assigned slip. It is $10 per night, and a check or cash may be dropped off at the village office or mailed to the office. If no docks are available for the requested dates, you will receive an email stating this. Please allow three business days for the response and the calendar to update.   • Village Taxes | Waddington Village

    Village Taxes To view your tax information click here. ​ Village of Waddington Taxes are mailed out by June 1st. ​ The Village taxes are mailed by the county and collected by the Waddington Village Office ​ The tax payments can be paid in two installments. The entire bill or the 1st installment can be paid without interest on or before 07/01/2023. ​ Any unpaid amounts will be subject to 5% interest for payment after 7/1/2023; 6% interest for payment in August; 7% interest for payment in September. If using the installment option to pay your tax, the 2nd installment will include a 5% penalty. ​ Disclosure: Interest percentages and dates are subject to change. ​ Other Taxes: Town/County Taxes are collected in the Town Office started in January. ​ School Taxes: Collected at Madrid Waddington School

    Dog Control The Dog Control Officer is appointed by the Town Board. His responsibilities include ensuring that the Local Dog Law is being enforced, answering complaint calls from residents, and seeing that dogs in the Township are licensed and have current rabies shots. He is on call 24/7 to help residents with any dog problems that are encountered. The Town of Waddington does have a Local Law which is designed to protect the health, safety and well-being of persons and property by imposing restrictions on the keeping and running-at-large of dogs within the Town.     Water & Sewer Billing Billing ​ First Quarter: Service dates - April 1 to June 30 Bills sent out: Beginning of June Bill due: June 30. ​ Second Quarter: Service dates - July 1 to September 30 Bills sent out: Beginning of September Bill due: September 30 ​ Third Quarter: Service dates - October 1 to December 31 Bills sent out: Beginning of December Bill due: December 31 ​ Fourth Quarter: Service dates - January 1 to March 31 Bills sent out: Beginning of March Bill due: March 31 No payments accepted after Due Date. All unpaid balances will be added to Village Taxes (sent out in June) ​ Water Quality Report *Please Note: ​ Option to pay in full for the billing year. Full yearly amount sent on June's Bill ​ Double check the amount being paid. The lesser amount is due before due date, i.e. $238.25.
